Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Afro Eatery is seeking a skilled and creative Chef with a passion for Soul Food, African-inspired cuisines, American cuisines and desserts. The ideal candidate will oversee daily kitchen operations, manage staff, ensure meal quality and consistency, and bring fresh ideas to elevate our dining experience.
Job Requirements
Lead and supervise all kitchen operations, ensuring meals are prepared efficiently and up to standard.
Cook and plate authentic Soul Food, African dishes, and fusion meals with creativity and consistency.
Oversee baking and dessert preparation, ensuring freshness, flavor, and presentation.
Plan daily menus and coordinate meal runs for dine-in and takeout orders.
Maintain kitchen hygiene, equipment care, and compliance with health standards.
Train and motivate kitchen staff to deliver high-quality service and maintain teamwork.
Monitor inventory, control waste, and manage food cost effectively.
Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus and specials.
Ensure smooth meal flow from kitchen to service, especially during peak hours.
