Volunteer Opportunities

Whether you’re a CIL student or an Alumni, get involved in the CIL student life!
There is always an opportunity for you to network with renowned chefs, get a great hands-on experience to put on your resume, and on top of that, get extra-credit!

 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

1. Register as volunteer

   • Fill out the volunteer form here.  When events are scheduled, you will be contacted for your availability. 
      

2. Volunteer

   • Network and enjoy this outstanding hands-on experience!
      

3. Extra Credit Form

   • Download the form here

   • Fill the part that concerns you

   • Submit it to your chef instructor

   • Once approved and signed, return it to Academics to receive extra credit

 

CONDITION

The extra credit form is to be used by any student that is going to participate in an event (outside of Chef’s Club) that merits extra credit. This is for the times volunteers are needed for certain school-related events and CIL would like its students to participate in them. It is up to the instructor’s discretion whether or not to approve the student’s extra credit opportunity if the student has attendance issues, is disruptive in class, or any other valid reason to which they feel the student should not get additional points added to their grade. If the participation is not approved, the student will not get the extra credit points. Academics will honor the Chef decision but will require a valid excuse to do so.
