Job Description/responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients according to recipes and specifications (chopping, slicing, marinating, portioning, etc.)
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
Properly label, store, and rotate food items to ensure freshness
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
Monitor prep supplies and communicate shortages to the head chef
Support lead chef as needed during prep and service
Job Requirements:
Prior kitchen or catering prep experience preferred, but not required
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
Punctual, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Must have (or be willing to obtain) a valid Food Handler’s Permit
Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
