City Cellars HTX is a chef-driven brunch and bistro concept known for bold flavors, scratch execution, and high-volume service. We're hiring Line Cooks who bring speed, urgency, and consistency to the line — every shift. Our ideal candidates thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative kitchen, can call back orders clearly, and take pride in clean execution.
What You’ll Do:
Cook steaks, seafood, bruschetta, charcuterie, and bistro-style dishes with speed and precision
Work multiple stations (sauté, grill, fryer, salad station) as needed
Call back tickets and communicate clearly and calmly during service
Assist with prep: protein butchery, sauces, vegetable prep, and portioning and occasionally dishwashing/organizing. (required)
Keep stations clean, stocked, and organized
Follow recipes and plating guides exactly — consistency is key
Participate in special events, prix-fixe dinners, and wine pairings
Contribute to a clean kitchen through end-of-shift breakdown and sanitation
Job Requirements
Thursday through Monday availability is required
2+ years experience in high-volume, scratch kitchens
Strong knife skills and cooking knowledge (especially steaks and seafood)
Fast-moving, focused, and dependable
Comfortable with fast-paced dinner service and ticket communication
Speaks and understands English (bilingual Spanish/English is a plus)
Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long shifts
Professional in appearance and demeanor availability and 5 shifts /week
