Job description/responsibilities: We're hiring prep and line cooks. If you enjoy working in a team, want to create exceptional inclusive hospitality experiences, and love food as much as you love Houston, we want to meet you. You will be part of a kitchen team that cooks dishes that reflect the quality and care with which the restaurant carries itself. We expect you to be a team player that cares about your station as well as the rest of your co-workers’ stations - both BOH and FOH.
Expectations & Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities
- Show up on time and ready to work
- Follow recipes to produce dishes and check that they have the proper seasoning
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station and the line
- Breakdown and reset stations at the end of service
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in cooking staff meal once a week Operations & Teamwork
- Communicate issues as early as possible
- Pitch in and assist the rest of the kitchen team when appropriate to ensure a smooth service and quick breakdown
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Follow all restaurant policies and procedures to maintain our standards
Job requirements:
- A passion for food and cooking; 1+ years of experience in a full-service restaurant a bonus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods of time
- Texas Food Handlers certificate
