Job description/responsibilities:
The Culinary Arts Instructor Assistant supports the Lead Culinary Arts Instructor in delivering engaging and educational cooking classes. The role involves assisting with class preparation, participant support, and kitchen management to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience. Assist in setting up the kitchen and preparing ingredients and equipment for cooking classes before class begins. Aid the instructor during classes by providing hands-on support and guidance to participants. *Demonstrate cooking techniques and procedures as directed by the instructor.
Job requirements:
Must be able to pass Federal & State background check Valid Food Handlers and/or Food Managers Certification Proven ability to teach and communicate effectively with both adults and children Proven experience as a chef, culinary instructor, or in a related culinary role. Experience in both professional kitchens and teaching environments is highly valued.
Any Additional Information?
Most cooking classes are usually held in the afternoons around 5 pm. We do not offer classes on Fridays and Saturdays.
