Lukas is a bakery with a long history. The bakery began in 1947. We are looking to add someone who brings a respect for the legacy along w/ fresh ideas and products. LaGrange is a town of 4000 but the bakery serves many nearby cities/counties w/ regular clients. We are in growth mode and want someone w/ fun energy to add to our team.
Responsibilities:
Bake pasties, cookies cakes and other products as required to provide ample inventory for sales
Determine production needs and inventory required to produce goods
Operate within agreed budget and profit margin
Train staff on safety and food handling measures
Act as Subject Matter Expert on production and safe handling of food products
Develop new product offerings for final approval by General Manager
Acting supervisor of staff in absence of General Manager
Acting General Manager when General Manager is not able to be reached
Create, Develop and Maintain recipes (historical and new) in recipe book to be kept at Lukas at all times
Create list of items and supplies needed
Help at front counter, if needed
Discuss new ideas/operational suggestions with General Manager
Maintain safety and organization of the bakery
Other duties as assigned
