Job description/responsibilities:

  • Working knowledge of Fry Station, Broiler Station, Sautee Station, Grill Station Slices and proportions cold cooked meat, fish, and poultry; garnishes them in an appetizing and tasteful manner

  • Prepares appetizers, hors d’oeuvres, center pieces and relishes in an attractive manner

  • Prepares cold sauces, jellies, stuffing’s, salad dressings and sandwiches using club recipes and standards. Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu

  • Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner

  • Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature

  • Serve items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards

  • Sets up, maintains, and breaks down service line

  • Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations; Ensures work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary

  • Assists the Sous Chef in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen

  • Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules

  • Covers, dates, and properly stocks all food production/stores leftover products that are re-usable

  • Assists the team with all storage areas, walk ins and reach ins keeping them neat and clean daily

  • Keep commissary areas stocked and coolers clean and organized


  • Past Culinary experience in Mid-Scale or Upscale Dining restaurants is preferred but not required. In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate must have the ability and drive to learn and contribute.

  • Willing to work any station in the kitchen

  • Provide a valid Texas Food Handlers Certificate.

  • Knowledge of the back-of-house operations.

  • This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Standing, sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform are also required.
