In partnership with Les Vergers Boiron, the Baking & Pastry department held the 2022 plated dessert competition on campus from May 10-11th. This year’s theme was classic desserts revisited. Contestants were required to push the tried-and-true, and create a new dessert derived from a classic staple.
The 8 finalists all presented stunning creations to a professional jury. The judging criteria included creativity, fine dining quality, creative use of ingredients, taste, balance, ease of preparation, and visual appeal.
All of the competitors did an incredible job and it was a difficult decision for the jurors.
The competitors who came out on top were:

2nd place: Arnaud Acaries
3rd place: Oxana Ramirez
