Job description/responsibilities:
Coordination of personal daily production in the pastry chef’s absence.
Be capable of executing 3 commonly used pastry techniques; creaming, piping, and scaling.
Cleans and sanitizes the entire bakeshop, including personal station, equipment, and storage areas.
Properly gather Mise en Place` to prepare baked goods in accordance with club recipes and standards.
Prepares foods in accordance with established portion and presentation standards.
Notifies pastry chef or Purchaser in advance of expected product shortages.
Assists pastry chef in the completion of other duties as assigned.
Maintains neat professional appearance and always observes personal cleanliness rules.
Adheres to state and local health and safety standards.
Maintains safety and security in work area.
Covers, dates, and neatly stores all re-usable leftover products. 12.
Makes recommendations for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the bakery area and equipment.
Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Pastry Chef.
Job Summary:
Assist the pastry chef in preparation of all baked goods according to club recipes and standards.
Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club’s operations, it may be necessary for each employee to perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.
Requirements:
High School diploma/GED or experience is a plus
Language Skills – English, Spanish is a plus
